November 6, 2017 students and teachers of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute listened to the lecture "Integrated design, from mechanical design towards the virtual prototype" at the Faculty of Aviation and Space Systems. Lecturer - Peter Arras (PETER ARRAS, Dr ing, Ph D), lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering Technology, Catholic University (KU Leuven), Leuven, Kingdom of Belgium. The next day, November 7, Peter Arras and Chris Peters gave a lecture "3D-Additive Manufacturing" and "Descriptive geometry" on the territory of the Engineering Physics Department.
Within the framework of the NETCENG international project TEMPUS program "New Model of the Third Cycle in Engineering Education Due to Bologna Process in BY, RU, UA", on May 15, 2017, a master class was held at the Faculty of Aviation and Space Systems of the “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute”. When carrying out the master class, the equipment delivered under the project was used. The event was attended by representatives of the European Union: Prof. Arnold Sterenharz (BTU, Berlin), Dr M. Pranskevicius, Raimondas Grubliauskas (VGTU, Lithuvania), Prof. Dmitry Eskin, Novikov A.V. (Deputy Director General of Yuzhnoye Design Bureau), Fedorov O. P. ( Director of the Space Research Institute of NAS of Ukraine and SSA of Ukraine), as well as graduate students and masters of the faculty.
After the master class, the project participants met with the First Vice-Rector Yuri Yakimenko. At the meeting, the results of the project were analyzed and its importance was noted.
The project participants also got acquainted with the Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.
